2026

Tjita Cosmetics and MKK Lion Flip-Flops

In 2026, we launched more worksteams.

  • MKK Lion Flip-Flops to sell high quality flip-flops adorned with our Lion logo.
  • In the second half of 2026, we will launch Tjita Cosmetics. A concept formed by Tjitakama Kahere, our Social Media and Marketing Manager. Tjitakama Kahere wanted to celebrate her passion for fashion and cosmetics with a teenage and twenty-something audience, the same as her, with the same passions and values.


2025

T-Shirts & Hats

In 2025, we expanded our clothing range with MKK Lion T-Shirts and MKK Lion Hats.

  • It occurred to us that the MKK Lion Clothing brand does showcase the MKK Lion brand, but we are missing an opportunity to produce clothes with imaginative designs, so we created two new shops.
  • Each product has a small MKK Lion logo to maintain the brand, but the emphasis is on the design, not the brand.
  • Each website has over 3,000 products available.


2024

MKK Lion Clothing

In 2024, I launched my own clothing brand, MKK Lion Clothing.

  • In 2024, I was out of work for nine months. No income.
  • I decided that I needed to generate more than one way to make money and one of those ideas was my own clothing brand using 'print on demand', so MKK Lion Clothing was born.
  • The aim was create a range of high quality clothes at competitive prices, maximising my knowledge of automation, AI and print-on-demand technology.
  • The products are pitched against the likes of SuperDry, Hoodrich and Psycho Bunny.  Independent brands pitched in the mid-range price band.  I cannot sell prices at the discounted rates like Primark, Wallmart or New Lock and I cannot charge premium prices like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Versace and Prada because I do not have the history or brand value. So I aim for the mid-market, offering high quality products with a clean brand image at competitive prices.


2023

MKK Lion Books

  • In 2023, I wanted to expand the ways to make money from just IT Project Management.
  • I had always been interested in and enjoyed writing, so I began writing books under the banner of MKK Lion Books, publishing them on Amazon KDP. 
  • I began with a book for children about my dog, Bella, a naughty little Shih Tzu puppy called "Diary of a Little Dog".
  • I submitted the book to some London publishers and was pleasantly surprised to receive positive feedback and the book was officially published as a paperback. Unfortunately, the book did not sell well. The publishing company were only interested in charging me money to produce the book and did zero marketing to help promote the book, the one thing I really needed help with. However, not all was lost. It did reveal the publishing process to me. This is a business activity that I plan to bring to the market, offering publishing and marketing assistance to new aspiring authors for very little money up-front.
  • Writing books has been put on pause for the moment, as I focus on growing other aspects of MKK Lion, but I hope to return to writing one day.


2022

MKK Lion IT & Giving to Charity

In 2022, Martin Harris created MKK Lion Ltd.

  • MKK Lion began life as a limited company for Martin Harris' IT Project Management work; MKK Lion IT.
  • Part of forming the company was to define it's values. One of those core principles is to donate a minimum of 10% of net profit to charitable causes in the UK, Africa and animal welfare (see our Charity page).
